The newer J7 SHS manual saves seat memory from a prompt after adjustment and places easy access in Quick Control. The earlier PHEV manual names three saved positions in Vehicle Comfort, so check which layout your car uses.
Supported models and trims

UK manual review; not a hands-on vehicle test. A missing menu may reflect equipment or software; this guide does not promise a feature can be enabled.
Before you begin
Park safely before changing settings. Match the powertrain, equipment and screen layout to the handbook for your own car. A manual describes possible equipment; it is not confirmation that every UK trim has it.
Step-by-step instructions
- Park and turn vehicle power to ON for the February 2026 procedure. Adjust the driver’s seat and mirrors.
- Use the seat-memory prompt that appears on the audio screen to save or update the desired position. The manual does not name fixed slots or a hold duration for this layout.
- Recall the required position using the seat-memory screen, keeping people and objects clear. The mirrors are recalled with the seat.
- For easy access, open Audio System → Settings → Quick Control and enable seat easy entry/exit. The settings summary places easy access within More under Quick Control.
- To exit, switch ON to OFF and open the driver’s door: the seat moves backwards. To enter, switch OFF to ACC/ON: it moves forwards.
Earlier layout: October 2024 handbook
- With the car parked and READY, adjust the seat and mirrors.
- Open Audio System → Vehicle Center → Vehicle Comfort → Seat / rear mirror position. Select Driving position, Rest position or Alternate location and long-press to save; select a saved position to recall it.
- Enable easy access in Audio System → Vehicle Center → Vehicle Comfort. Switching READY to off and opening the driver’s door moves the seat back; powering on again moves it forward.
Why a prompt may not appear
The October 2024 manual says seat-memory/key binding must be set in the audio system and that turning binding off prevents the adjustment pop-up. It does not provide a complete binding-menu sequence, so none is invented here. The February 2026 easy-access section, marked if equipped, also warns that seat adjustment is unavailable during engine starting and that direct starting from OFF may prevent the expected movement.
Troubleshooting
- Mirrors move as well: seat and exterior-mirror positions are saved and recalled together in these manuals. Check both before saving.
- No save prompt: check the required power state, fitted equipment and the applicable screen layout. Do not assume a hidden key-binding menu exists on every revision.
- Easy entry does not move: check the enable setting and the power/door sequence below, and confirm the travel area is clear.
- Unexpected or unsafe movement: stop it with a seat-adjustment switch and have persistent faults inspected.
Safety and limitations
- Save and recall positions while parked. Check pedals, steering-wheel reach and mirrors before driving.
- Keep rear passengers, children and belongings clear of the seat’s travel. If anyone risks being trapped, operate the seat-adjustment switch to stop movement, as the manuals direct.
- Do not leave children alone in the vehicle. Seat memory and easy access can move the seat automatically.
