Optional Google Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics helps us understand visitor numbers, popular pages and general traffic sources. It processes browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We do not load Google Analytics before you accept, and rejecting it does not affect your use of the site.
Our analytics sends page paths without URL queries or fragments. It records successful waiting-list submissions as a count without your name, email or removal link. We do not send form contents, use advertising personalisation or enable Google Signals. How Google processes information from partner sites.
Analytics cookies beginning _ga can recognise your browser for up to 180 days. Your accept or reject choice is stored in your browser for 180 days under jc-analytics-consent-v1. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting after accepting stops further analytics collection and removes accessible analytics cookies; it does not erase information already collected.
Waiting-list details
We use your email, optional name and model interest to manage the waiting list, create an inactive club account at launch and send an activation invitation, with your consent. We record the date and consent wording. We do not sell your details or subscribe you to advertiser emails. Save the private removal link after signing up to withdraw and remove your entry, or contact the club team.
Unused waiting-list entries are removed within 90 days after launch, or after 12 months if we have not launched. Protected backup copies expire within seven days. A temporary hashed network identifier helps prevent spam and expires after an hour. Club administrators can access the waiting list.
Fault reports and ownership updates
With your consent, we store your email, vehicle details and submitted experience privately so club administrators can review it and contact you about it. Supporting photographs, screenshots and PDF job sheets are private files, kept outside the public website. Remove registration numbers, VINs, addresses, payment details and other people’s information before uploading. Do not send special-category personal information.
Optional anonymous-publication consent is separate. We do not automatically publish submissions or attachments, verify ownership, create accounts, add you to the waiting list or generate reliability scores. If you allow publication, an administrator must first review the contribution and remove identifying details. Your email and files are never published through this workflow.
A private vehicle code links repeat updates to the same car and email. Only a hash of the code is stored; keep your code private. It is a linking identifier, not proof of vehicle ownership. We retain submissions and attachments for up to 12 months; protected backups expire within a further seven days. A temporary hashed network identifier limits spam and expires after an hour.
To withdraw consent or request access, correction or deletion, contact the club team with your submission reference. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Truly anonymised aggregate information, if published after review, may no longer be identifiable to you. There is no public owner dataset at present.
Enquiries and useful site features
Contact enquiries are stored privately for club administrators to review and respond to, based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence. They are not published or added to marketing lists. We keep enquiries for up to six months; protected backups expire within seven days. Use the contact form to request access, correction or deletion.
If you tick an interactive guide checklist, its progress is saved in this browser under a key beginning jc-checklist-v1. This functional storage lets you resume the checklist; it is not sent to us. Reset the checklist or clear your browser site data to remove it. Filter choices appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share the results.
Hosting, security and other services
Our hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare process requests to deliver and protect the website, including network addresses and security logs. These operational purposes are separate from optional analytics. Google and Cloudflare may process information outside the UK, subject to their applicable safeguards and service terms. Videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain only when you choose to play them; YouTube can then process your interaction.
Your rights
You can ask about access, correction or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent. Your rights depend on the circumstances. You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We will provide updated account privacy information before the community launches.
