Before you need roadside help, confirm your own cover and save its contact details. This page is preparation advice; follow emergency-service and road-operator instructions in an incident.
Save the official number
JAECOO UK lists 0800 031 8657 for UK roadside assistance, available 24 hours a day. Its page also provides European assistance and renewal contacts. Numbers and cover terms were checked on 3 October 2026; use the official page to confirm current details and your eligibility.
Prepare a recovery note
- Your registration and exact location.
- Model and powertrain, including whether it is a plug-in or electric vehicle.
- Warning messages and a brief description of the problem.
- Number of passengers and any accessibility requirements.
- Your cover or case reference, if available.
Tell the operator if you cannot identify your location or are in danger. Do not attempt a repair in an unsafe location.
Review cover when servicing
The manufacturer describes roadside assistance as continuing with eligible servicing; terms apply. Ask the retailer to confirm your current cover, renewal position and any travel restrictions in writing. Do not assume a used car or a changed service history has identical cover.
For motorway incidents, review the government’s official breakdown guidance before travelling. It addresses road safety rather than the car’s warranty.
